If you had to pick the one thing that best embodies the state of Wisconsin, it’d be cheese. And if you got more specific, it would be cheese curds.

They’re warm, unique, and delicious, just like the people of Wisconsin.

Wait, we don’t know whether people are delicious or not. Let’s scratch that part.

Anyway, it’s time once again to celebrate those golden nuggets of Dairyland goodness at Drink Wiscononbly’s 4th Annual Curd Fest. It all happens today, Saturday, October 7th, at the DW Pub and the Deer District starting at 11 a.m.

Put on your stretchiest pants and come sample curds from around Wisconsin while enjoying the dulcet tones of Keith Stras & the Polka Confetti.

Lakefront Brewery’s Curd Wagon, Who’s on Third, Crafty Cow, Gut Truck, Bountiful Boards GB, and Big Moo Cheese will all be on hand to share their cheesemaking wizardry.

Then, thrill to the human drama of the cheese curd eating contest featuring Clock Shadow Creamery curds, where competitors square off against a pound of cheese and each other for glory. And a trophy.

Admission is $10, and that includes a Curd Fest coozie as well as cheese curd samples. Advance tickets are available here.

Don’t miss this chance to celebrate these most Wisconsin-y of all Wisconsin things. We may be biased, but it’s going to be freakin’ amazing.
