Today is Wisconsin`s 178th birthday so we`re celebrating Wisconsin’s oldest operating Inn & Tavern... the East Troy House!🍻 The East Troy House traces its roots back to 1836, when Austin McCracken built the first public inn in Walworth County on the site where the tavern stands today. By 1838, the inn and tavern was officially licensed, giving it a claim as Wisconsin’s oldest tavern, and it later became a stagecoach stop on the East Troy village square. Today, East Troy House continues that long tradition as a working restaurant, bar, and gathering place. #DWDives #WisconsinDiveBars #HappyFriday #ExploreWisconsinbly
