Breweries Team Up to Brew Beer
Local breweries team up to create a new beer specially formulated for watching Green Bay Packers games called Gold Package.

You can feel it in the air, in your bones, and deep in your soul. Football season is coming.
Our friends at Lakefront Brewery and Badger State Brewing picked up on that energy and channeled it into something positive, teaming up to create a new beer specially formulated for watching Green Bay Packers games called Gold Package.
This is technically the second time they’ve brewed it. Last season’s version was a golden ale; this season’s beer is a golden lager.
They claim that “Pilsner, Light Munich, and Vienna malts give this light-bodied, golden brew flavors of fresh bread and honey, before leaving a crisp finish.” Which sounds very nice. Although let’s be real, those do sound like the kind of subtle details that are lost on your average football fan by the time the second quarter rolls around.
It’s not clear how this collaboration worked or how they divvied up the workload. Hopefully, one brewery didn’t do all the heavy lifting while the other one screwed around on their phone. For now, we’ll trust that it was an equitable division of labor.
There are 15 more agonizing days until the Packers finally kick off. If you’re like us, you’re doing your best to pass the time by putting yourself in what could either be described as a zen state or a light coma as you try not to overreact to reports from practice.
The Badgers do play on Thursday though. We’re not sure whether the Gold Package will work for those games, as we haven’t had a chance to read the operator’s manual yet. There’s only one way to find out. You can use their Beer Finder and head to your nearest retailer if you want to give it a test hop before the Week 1 game against the Lions.
In conclusion, Go Pack Go!
