Dog Day Afternoon in the Deer District
Dogs are awesome — celebrate them at the 5th annual Doggy Day at Deer District fundraiser this Saturday, April 11th

A Drink Wisconsinbly Week in Review investigation has revealed that dogs are awesome. And your chance to celebrate the all-around goodness of pups is coming up next weekend when Doggy Day at Deer District returns for its fifth installment.
The annual fundraiser is put on by Winston’s Wishes, an all-volunteer non-profit organization that cares for dogs from the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission who don’t vibe with a shelter environment. This includes senior dogs, anxious ones, and others that need extra care. In short, dogs that aren’t as lucky as yours.
The event features dozens of booths stocked with dog accessories, such as collars, leashes, snacks, and chewable playthings. But they haven’t forgotten about the less furry visitors. There will be food trucks, drinks, a DJ spinning, prizes, and giveaways for those on the other end of the leash.
It all happens on Saturday, April 11th, and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Of course, the DW Pub is just a tennis ball’s throw away. So once your tail stops wagging, come in and grab a Brandy Old Fashioned for yourself and for your best friend. Bowls of water, nose boops, and belly rubs are available upon request. To be clear, only for your dog.
