Wondering Pig Led Home
Turns out vegetables don't excite him, but he's got a sweet tooth and prefers cookies, marshmallows, and other sweets.
If a hungry neighbor that you’d never met turned up at your door late at night, would you feed him?
What if that neighbor was a 450-pound pig?
The Molgaard family of Brighton recently faced that ethical dilemma. Fortunately for a pig named Kevin Bacon, they opened their hearts and refrigerators to their unexpected guest.
They first were alerted that they had company by a security camera. Before long, Kevin Bacon was sniffing around their back door with his stomach grumbling.
They gave him some vegetables to tide him over, and after making a few phone calls, they were able to track down Kevin’s owner, who lives nearby. Unfortunately, he was out of town, so it was up to the Molgaards to get him back home.
They were told that the easiest way to get the gentle giant headed in the right direction was with — you guessed it — food.

Same, Kevin. Same.
The family spent the next two and a half hours coaxing Kevin back to his pen with various enticements. For a bit, they even had a police escort from Kenosha Country authorities. Eventually, Kevin Bacon made it back where he belonged, and the Molgaards had a new buddy.
Forming a bond with a big, lovable pig sounds magical, but it would surely complicate one’s relationship with yummy things like bacon, pork chops, and al pastor tacos. In other words, it’s probably for the best that Kevin Bacon didn’t turn up at the Drink Wisconsinbly Week in Review’s door. We’re simply not strong enough to choose friendship over food. Kevin would understand.
